Tanios El Khoury
Tanios El Khoury (born May 4, 1930 in Saghbine ) is former bishop of Sidon .
Life
Tanios El Khoury was ordained a priest on June 14, 1958 and was incardinated in the clergy of the Sidon Eparchy . John Paul II appointed him Bishop of De Aar on June 8, 1996 .
The Maronite Patriarch of Antioch and the whole of the Orient, Nasrallah Pierre Cardinal Sfeir , donated him episcopal ordination on October 5th of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Boutros Gemayel , Archbishop of Cyprus , and Roland Aboujaoudé , Auxiliary Bishop in Antioch .
In 2005 the Pope accepted his age-related resignation.
