Roland Aboujaoudé

Roland Aboujaoudé (born September 7, 1930 in Jall-Eddib , Lebanon , † May 2, 2019 in Byblos ) was a bishop of the Maronite Church .

Life

Roland Aboujaoudé was ordained a priest in the Maronite rite on April 4, 1959 . On August 23, 1975 he was ordained titular Bishop of Arca in Phenicia dei Maroniti by Archbishop Anton Peter Khoraiche , the Maronite Patriarch of Antioch and the whole East . Co- consecrators at the episcopal ordination were Archbishop Elie Farah of Cyprus and Bishop Joseph Merhi CML of Cairo . From 1975 to 1985 he was a patriarchal vicar , after which he became vicar general and then held the office of auxiliary bishop in Antioch .

On June 6, 2011, Pope Benedict XVI. his resignation request submitted for reasons of age.

Since 1997 he was appointed Curia Bishop and Protosyncellus of the Melkite Patriarch. He was co-consecrator in many episcopal ordinations.
