The eparchy Sidon ( lat. : Eparchia Sidoniensis Maronitarum ) is in Lebanon located eparchy of the Maronite Church , based in Sidon .

history

The Sidon eparchy has existed since the beginning of the Maronite Church, but was united with the Tire Archparchy. The Synod of Mount Lebanon in 1736 established the Tire-Sidon eparchy. The two eparchies were separated on February 18, 1900 or, according to other sources, on January 26, 1906.
