history
The Eparchy Latakia was founded on April 16, 1954 by Pope Pius XII. established as the Apostolic Administratur Laodicea . The Apostolic Administratur Laodicea was on August 4, 1977 by Pope Paul VI. elevated to an eparchy and renamed the Eparchy Latakia .
