Maroun Khoury Sader

Maroun Khoury Sader (born December 25, 1926 in Ain Ebel ; † August 26, 2015 ) was a Maronite clergyman and archbishop of Tire .

Life

Maroun Khoury Sader was ordained a priest on May 11, 1952 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Archbishop of Tire on June 1, 1992. The Maronite Patriarch of Antioch and the whole of the Orient, Nasrallah Pierre Sfeir , gave him episcopal ordination on July 18 of the next year ; Co- consecrators were Roland Aboujaoudé , auxiliary bishop in Antioch , and Joseph Merhi CML , bishop of Cairo .

On September 25, 2003, Pope John Paul II accepted his age-related resignation.
