Ad Abi Karam

Ad Abi Karam (born March 28, 1937 in Kornet Chehwan ) is a Lebanese clergyman and emeritus bishop of the Eparchy of St. Marron of Sydney .

Life

Ad Abi Karam was ordained a priest on March 25, 1962 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of the Eparchy of St. Marron of Sydney on October 26, 2001. The Maronite Patriarch of Antioch , Nasrallah Boutros Cardinal Sfeir , donated him episcopal ordination on January 12 of the next year ; Co-consecrators were Roland Aboujaoudé , Auxiliary Bishop in Antioch, and Samir Mazloum , Curia Bishop in Antioch. The inauguration in Sydney took place on February 8 of the next year.

On April 17, 2013, Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation.
