Georges Bou-Jaoudé
Georges Bou-Jaoudé CM (born December 27, 1943 in Jouret El-Ballout , Lebanon ) is the Maronite Archbishop of Tripoli in Lebanon.
Life
Georges Bou-Jaoudé submitted on 25 December 1966 his religious vows as a monk of the Vincentians and was on February 9, 1968. Chaplains consecrated. The Synod of the Maronite Bishops elected him on September 24, 2005 as Archbishop of Tripoli in Lebanon. This election was confirmed by the Holy See on December 28, 2005 . The Maronite Patriarch of Antioch , Cardinal Nasrallah Boutros Sfeir and the co-consecrators Bishop Roland Aboujaoudé and Bishop Tanios El Khoury initiated him on 11 February 2006 for the bishop.
In his capacity as Archbishop of Tripoli del Libano, he was, in October 2010, a delegate to the Special Assembly of the Synod of Bishops on the Middle East . As a co-consecrator he assisted in the episcopal ordination of Joseph Soueif as Archbishop of Cyprus and Hanna Alwan CML as Titular Bishop of Sarepta dei Maroniti and Curia Bishop in Antioch .
