Helga Schuhr

Helga Schuhr (born April 28, 1944 in Heilbronn ; also Helga Leuenberger-Schuhr ) is a Swiss artist of German origin.

life and work

After graduating from high school, she completed the trade school in Heilbronn . During a stay in England in 1963, courses at the Art College in Telford near Newport (Shropshire) followed . She has lived in Chez-le-Bart in the canton of Peseux NE since 1965 , and has been a Swiss citizen since 1967. Since 1992, Schuhr has been in New York for longer stays .

Helga Schuhr's work includes painting, but also engraving and lithogravure , which she learned in 1976 at the Museum of Neuchâtel. Her first solo exhibition took place in her native Heilbronn in 1974, and since then her works have been shown at various exhibitions in Germany and Switzerland. Several of their works were bought by the public sector, including a. from the city of Heilbronn, from the Zollikofen-Bern retirement home and from the city of Neuchâtel.

Her work has been shown in exhibitions in Switzerland, Germany, France, Libya, Russia and the USA.
