The Samsung Galaxy Tab E 8 is a tablet computer based on the Android operating system from the South Korean manufacturer Samsung Electronics , the only known successor to the Galaxy Tab E 9.6 within the E series and thus completes it. The tablet was presented in January 2016 and was apparently only sold in North America .

The Galaxy Tab E 8 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8916 410 chip with a QuadCore 1.3 GHz ARM Cortex A53 processor and Adreno 306 graphics and supported by 1.5 GB of RAM, the storage capacity is 16 GB. The TFT-LCD display has a diagonal of 8 inches (20.3 cm) with a resolution of 1280 × 800 pixels and a color depth of 16 million colors. The main camera has a resolution of 5 MP and allows videos in 1280 × 720 at 30 fps , the screen camera has 2 MP.

Additional equipment includes an acceleration sensor, A-GPS , Glonass , Wi-Fi 802.11 a / b / g / n and Bluetooth 4.1, as well as a microphone, loudspeaker, 3.5 mm socket for a headset and USB 2.0. There are also slots for a microSD memory card up to 128 GB and, if necessary, a nano SIM card. The Li-Ion battery has 5,000 mAh, the dimensions are 212.1 × 126.1 × 8.9 mm, the weight is 360 grams. The tablet was delivered with Android 5.1.1 and it can be updated up to 7.1. The following models are known: SM-T375 with only Wifi, SM-T377 additionally with 2/3 / 4G, SM-T377P for Sprint , SM-T377R for US Cellular and SM-T377W for Canada.
