Samuel Anton Frank

Samuel Anton Frank (baptized March 1, 1731 ; † March 29, 1809 in Bern ; citizen of Bern) was a Swiss cabinet maker .

Life

The possibly Bern-born master carpenter and cabinet maker Samuel Anton Frank belonged to the Pfistern Society and was married to Katharina Stähli from Thun. He created the ark of the Bernese carpenter's championship as well as that of the surgical law firm. He gave both of them his monogram SF. On the basis of a label with the inscription «Frank Ebeniste à Berne / No. 1 » A series of similar pieces of furniture (tea tables, chairs) can be attributed to Frank on a privately owned Louis XV gaming table. The valid day was imposed on him in 1778 .
