Sir Samuel Brudenell Fludyer, 2nd Baronet ( October 8, 1759 - February 17, 1833 ) was an English parliamentarian.

Life

Sir Samuel was the son of the ennobled merchant banker Sir Samuel Fludyer, 1st Baronet , who was also a member of the House of Commons and in 1761 Lord Mayor of London . The father died in 1768, so that his hereditary title of baronet, of Lee Place in the County of Kent, passed to Samuel while he was still at school. He attended the prestigious Westminster School and studied mathematics from Easter 1776 to Michaelis 1779 as part of his extended Grand Tour together with his younger brother George Fludyer under the supervision of Georg Christoph Lichtenberg at the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen . Both brothers were members of the influential ZN student order in Göttingen ; their silhouettes from the Gottingen are silhouettes collection Schubert received and entries in studbooks time have survived.

Sir Samuel Fludyer was on his return to England from 1781 to 1784 Member of Parliament for the (temporary) district of Aldborough, which later became part of the West Riding of Yorkshire . In 1796 he married his cousin Maria Weston.
