George Fludyer

George Fludyer ( September 2, 1761 - April 15, 1837 ) was an English parliamentarian.

George Fludyer was the second son of the ennobled merchant banker Sir Samuel Fludyer, 1st Baronet , who was also a member of the House of Commons and, in 1761, Lord Mayor of London . His father died in 1768. He attended the prestigious Westminster School and studied mathematics at Georg-August from Easter 1776 to Michaelis 1779 as part of his extended Grand Tour together with his older brother Samuel Fludyer, 2nd Baronet under the supervision of Georg Christoph Lichtenberg -University of Göttingen . Both brothers were members of the influential ZN student order in Göttingen ; their silhouettes from the Gottingen are silhouettes collection Schubert received and entries in studbooks time have survived.

George Fludyer was on his return to England from 1783 to 1802 Member of Parliament for the constituency of Chippenham and 1818/1819 for the constituency of Appleby . In 1792 he married Lady Mary Fane. In 1803 he inherited the Manor Ayston Hall in Rutland through his mother , where he lived until his death. In 1814 he was High Sheriff of Rutland. Their daughter Mary married Arthur Onslow, 3rd Earl of Onslow , in 1818 .
