Samuel Zbinden

Samuel Zbinden (* 1999 ) is a Swiss politician ( Young Greens / Greens ). He has been a member of the Lucerne Cantonal Council since June 2019 .

Zbinden joined the Green Sursee in 2016 . A year later he gained regional fame as the organizer of student protests against austerity measures in the education sector in the Canton of Lucerne . In October 2017, at the age of 18, he took over the leadership of the Green Sursee as the youngest local party president of the Canton of Lucerne. Zbinden is a member of the board and management of Young Green Switzerland.

In the 2019 cantonal elections, Zbinden was elected to the Lucerne canton parliament. He has been a member of the Economy and Taxes Commission there since June 17, 2019. He is running for the National Council in the Swiss parliamentary elections in 2019 .

biography

Samuel Zbinden works as a child carer in a home for children who can no longer be looked after by their parents. He is also the squad leader of the Jungwacht Sursee.
