San Giovanni a Teduccio is the 30th of the 30 districts ( Quartieri ) of the southern Italian port city of Naples . It lies by the sea and belongs to the eastern periphery of Naples .
The district of San Giovanni a Teduccio, together with the districts of Barra and Ponticelli, forms an administrative unit, the Municipalità VI of Naples.
Geography and demography
San Giovanni a Teduccio's eastern border is also the border of the city of Naples. Both border on the neighboring communities of Portici and San Giorgio a Cremano . It also borders the neighboring districts of Zona Industriale and Barra .
San Giovanni a Teduccio is 2.35 square kilometers and had 23,735 inhabitants in 2009.
Places and buildings worth mentioning
There are some churches and public buildings including a police building that was built during and in the style of fascism . There are also beaches and harbors, as well as active, decommissioned and already dilapidated industrial plants. However, mostly simple urban apartment buildings are dominant. The house, nicknamed the Bronx , is a little better known as it was and may still be drug trafficking . The area is crossed by Corso San Giovanni street . A larger park in the district is the Parco Massimo Troisi . The Villa Vittoria , built in the 19th century, should also be mentioned .

Problems
San Giovanni a Teduccio was traditionally a working-class neighborhood, but today unemployment has become a major problem. As in other parts of the city, the Camorra is present.
