The San Lorenzo Hub Port is a planned international goods transshipment point on Isla San Lorenzo , which is 5 km off the coast of Peru in the immediate vicinity of Lima . With its own freight yard, airport and seaport, it is to become the largest hub in Latin America . The costs are estimated at around US $ 12 billion.

Proponents of the San Lorenzo Hub Port expect significant growth impulses for the weak Peruvian economy. The social problems in Lima would also find an immediate solution through the creation of new jobs.
