The Sandnesstaven (Norwegian for sand nose stick ) is a 2030 m high mountain in the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . It rises at the northern end of the Conrad Mountains in the Orvinfjella .
Norwegian cartographers, who also named it, mapped it using aerial photographs of the Third Norwegian Antarctic Expedition (1956–1960).
