Sandor Alexander Svoboda (born January 8, 1826 in Baghdad , † August 8, 1896 in Smyrna ) was a painter and photographer of Hungarian-Armenian descent.

Sandor Alexander Svoboda was the eldest son of Anton Svoboda and Euphemie Josephine Muradjian.

Like his brothers, he was a student in the French Carmelite School in Baghdad. He then studied painting in Budapest with Miklós Barabás , in Venice and London . Back in Baghdad he became known as a successful painter and photographer. Together with his brother Josef Maria Svoboda he spent a few years in Bombay and returned to Baghdad in 1857. In 1858 he left Baghdad and settled in Smyrna, where he ran a photo studio from about 1865 to 1868, then came to Europe, where he spent the rest of his life.
