Sang e Rostam ( Persian سنگ رستم, DMG Sang-e Rostam , 'Stone of Rostam') is a three-thousand-meter peak in the Day Chopan government district ( Persian داى چوپان, DMG Hirtendorf ) in the province of Zabul in Afghanistan .
The name of the mountain refers to Rostam , a mythological figure who is revered as a national hero in Afghanistan , among other places .
