Sanghar District is an administrative district in Pakistan in Sindh Province . The seat of the district administration is the city of the same name Sanghar .
The district has an area of 10,608 km² and, according to the 2017 census, 2,057,057 inhabitants. The population density is 194 inhabitants / km². The Sindhi language is spoken by the majority in the district .
location
The district is located in the central east of Sindh Province, which is located in southeastern Pakistan. Sanghar is located northeast of the mega city and regional capital Karachi .

Demographics
Between 1998 and 2017, the population grew by 2.36% annually. About 29% of the population live in urban areas and about 71% in rural areas. 1,064,484 men, 992,509 women and 64 transgender people live in 374,609 households , resulting in a gender ratio of 107.3 men per 100 women, which is a frequent male surplus for Pakistan.
The literacy rate in the years 2014/15 among the population over 10 years of age was 47% (women: 30%, men: 63%) and thus below the average of the Sindh province of 60%.
