Sanguszko Fedkowicz (Polish Sanguszko Fedkowicz , Russian Сангушко Федорович ) (* unknown; † after 1454 ) was Prince of Ratno (since 1433) in the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and founder of the Sanguszko dynasty .

Life

Sanguszko was a son of Prince Fiodoras von Ratne and grandson of the Lithuanian Grand Duke Algirdas . His year of birth is unknown.

Sanguszko was first mentioned in 1432 when he was confirmed by the new Grand Duke Sigismund of Lithuania that the area around kosher was. 1433 was the rule of Ratne and the surrounding area from the Polish King Władysław III. approved. Kovel and Lyuboml probably belonged to his dominion at this time .

In 1437 he appeared on the side of the opponent of Sigismund Švitrigaila , in 1438 he was called "my loyal Prince Sanguschko" and confirmed with an area in Severien .

In 1440 the "Princes Sanguschkowitschi" appeared with other princes and nobles at the new Grand Duke Casimir IV Jagiełło in Vilnius . As a result of his change of sides to Švitrigaila he had obviously lost the rule Ratne , because in 1441 he had to recapture Ratno , which had been under the rule of a royal burgrave . In 1441 kosher was confiscated by the king. In 1443 Sanguszko Ratne and the surrounding area of Casimir were again confirmed as a rulership.

In 1454 he appeared for the last time in a document from his nephew Simeon .

After his death, his territory was divided among the sons into the dominions Ratno , Kosher and Kovel .
