Sant Andreu de Palomar is a neighborhood in Barcelona in the Sant Andreu district .

Sant Andreu de Palomar is located in the northeast of Barcelona.

history

Together with other suburbs of Barcelona at that time (Gracia, Sants, Les Corts, Horta, Sant Martí, Sant Gervasi and later Sarrià), it was incorporated into the city of Barcelona on April 20, 1897 against the will of the population by decree of the Spanish Queen .

Towards the end of the 19th century, the city, founded in the 11th century, was considered to be growing rapidly, it was located on the railway to Granollers and in 1878 it had 14,615 inhabitants, there were cotton spinning and weaving mills, pottery etc.

The football stadium Camp Municipal Narcís Sala is located in this district .
