Santa Maria de Távora is a place and a former municipality ( Freguesia ) in the northern Portuguese district of Arcos de Valdevez . 688 inhabitants lived in the community (as of June 30, 2011).

On September 29, 2013, the municipalities of Távora (Santa Maria) and Távora (São Vicente) were merged to form the new municipality of União das Freguesias de Távora (Santa Maria e São Vicente) . Távora (Santa Maria) is the seat of this newly formed community.
