The titular church Santa Maria della Salute a Primavalle is a Roman church in Via Tommaso de Vio in Piazza Alfonso Capecelatro in the Primavalle district . The church was consecrated on March 18, 1960 by Cardinal Luigi Traglia . The parish was founded at the instigation of Cardinal Vicar Francesco Marchetti Selvaggiani by the decree Inter plures vicos in 1950 and transferred to the Third Order of the Franciscans , who also own the property. From Pope Paul VI. she was declared a titular church on April 29, 1969. The architect of the church is Giorgio Guidi.
Architecture and equipment
The facade with a portico in front has a marble cladding in the lower part, in the upper part it is made of bricks and bears the coat of arms of Pope John XXIII. crowned. On the portico there are sculptures of St. Mary , under whose patronage the church is, flanked by two angels. The single nave interior is barrel vaulted and ends with an apse .
