Santiago Schirone , full name Santiago Andrés Schirone Álvarez , (born February 15, 1996 in Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

The 1.71 meter tall midfielder Schirone has been under contract with the first division club Danubio FC at least since the 2015 Clausura . There he made his competitive debut under coach Leonardo Ramos on April 2, 2015 in the 4-0 away defeat against Corinthians São Paulo in the Copa Libertadores 2015 , when he came on for Agustín Viana in the 51st minute . In the 2014/15 season he was not used in the Primera División . In July 2015 he was loaned to the second division Miramar Misiones . So far (as of February 14, 2016) he has completed two league games (no goal) in Apertura 2015. At the beginning of February, the second division competitor Club Oriental de Football loaned him , where he was used ten times (no goal) in the league in the 2016 Clausura. He then returned to Danubio, but was handed over to Deportivo Maldonado at the end of July 2016 .
