Sarılar is a small town in the Turkish province of Nevşehir near the Kizilirmak River .

Translated, the name " Sarılar " means "the yellow ones " and is traced back to a story of 3 blond men who are said to have been the settlers in the city area. A large part of the population emigrated to various regions of Turkey, but also to other countries, especially Germany , especially the region around Frankfurt and Offenbach .
