Sarawak ( Malay Sungai Sarawak ) is a river in the state of the same name in Malaysia , Sarawak . It is around 217 km long with the two source rivers Sarawak Kiri from the left and Sarawak Kanan from the right. The springs are located in the Kapuas Mountains in the interior of the island of Borneo . The confluence with the South China Sea is at the place Muara Tebas . Kuching , the capital of the state of Sarawak, lies on both banks of the river.
