Sarenco

Sarenco (aka Isaia Mabellini ; born April 16, 1945 in Vobarno ; † February 6, 2017 in Salò ) was an Italian visual poet , cultural organizer, publisher and filmmaker.

Life

Sarenco began experimenting with visual poetry when he was eighteen. With Eugenio Miccini , Luciano Ori , Lucia Marcucci , Giusi Coppini , Michele Perfetti and Lamberto Pignotti , he formed an artist group that was active in Florence and became known as Gruppo 70 . The group published radical, politically oriented works and poems and, until its dissolution in 1977, edited the literary magazine Lotta Poetica .

In addition, Saranco founded two other magazines - Amodulo (1968) and Factotum art and founded three publishing houses ( Edizioni Amodulo , 1969, SAR.MIC , 1972 and Factotum art ). In Brescia he opened visual poetry galleries ( Sincron , 1967, Amodulo , 1970 and Studio Brescia , 1972) and organized numerous exhibitions. He was also significantly involved in the organization of the Centro di Paolo Berardelli and the Archivio Denza di poesia visiva . From the late 1980s he oversaw several exhibitions in northern Italy, including Poesia visiva 1963-1988, 5 Maestri: Ugo Carrega , Stelio Maria Martini , Eugenio Miccini , Lamberto Pignotti , Sarenco in Verona and Poesia totale. 1897-1997: Dal Colpo di Dadi alla Poesia Visuale in Mantua.
