Sarkis Aghajan Mamendo
Sarkis Aghajan Mamendo or Sarkis Aghadschan Mamindu ( Aramaic ܣܪܟܝܣ ܐܓܓܢ ܡܡܢܕܘ, Kurdish سرکیس ئاغاجان Serkîs Axacan Mamendo ; * 1962 in Diana ) is an Assyrian politician .
His family is originally from Hakkâri in Turkey . After the genocide of the Aramaeans in World War I , the family emigrated to Russia , then Iran, and finally Iraq . From 2004 to 2006 he was Deputy Prime Minister of the Iraqi Kurdistan Autonomous Region and from 1999 to 2009 he was Minister of Finance. From 1992 to 2005 he was a member of the Kurdish parliament .
