The Saryarka Velodrome is a sports hall with a cycling track in the Kazakh capital Nur-Sultan .
The Velodrome opened in 2011 and is shaped like a racing driver's helmet. In addition to the cycling track, it houses other sports areas, including basketball courts , a swimming pool, an ice rink and fitness center as well as conference rooms, a restaurant and a hotel. The hall is the home of the professional basketball club BK Astana .
The cycling track, built by Velotrack GmbH from Osterholz-Scharmbeck , measures 250 meters and is 7 meters wide with a curve elevation of 44 degrees. It is made of Nordic and Siberian pine wood.
