Sascha Reinelt

Sascha Reinelt (born October 11, 1978 in Sindelfingen ) is a German hockey player .

Life

Reinelt was already a 14-year-old on the junior national team of the German Hockey Association while he was still playing for SV Böblingen . In 1996 he played his first international match in the men's national team.

Here Reinelt developed into a solid pillar of the team and one of the best strikers in the country. He played a total of 233 international matches and scored 75 goals.

He celebrated his greatest successes in 2002 when he won the World Hockey Championship in Kuala Lumpur and the three European championships in 1999 (hall and field) and 2003. Most recently, he won the bronze medal with the German national team at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens . Despite tearing his ligament three times, he played the semi-finals and even scored a goal in the game for third place. Sascha Reinelt plays in the hockey Bundesliga at HTC Stuttgarter Kickers . In 2005 he and his team became German champions and 2006 European Cup winners.
