Sascha Sauer

Sascha Sauer (born December 31, 1981 in Bremerhaven ) is a former German football player .

career

Sauer played for the Ritterhude Badgers , then for the Weyhe Vikings . For the 2008 season, the player used in the offensive line switched to the Kiel Baltic Hurricanes in the GFL , the nationwide top division. Under head coach Kent Anderson , Sauer was German runner-up with Kiel in 2008 and 2009, and in 2010 he won the championship title under coach Patrick Esume . In 2011 and 2012 he was again runner-up with the Fördestädtern.

Sauer left Kiel after the 2012 season and strengthened the Hamburg Blue Devils (also GFL) in 2013 , in the run-up to the 2014 game year, the 1.96-meter man returned to Kiel .

He took part in the 2011 World Cup with the German national team and came in fifth there. In 2014 he became European champion with Germany.
