Sasho Petrovski (born March 5, 1975 in Bankstown ) is an Australian football player with Macedonian ancestors. He is under contract with the Newcastle United Jets in the A-League .

Club career

After his youth in Macedonia, he began his career with the Parramatta Eagles in what was then the first Australian league, the National Soccer League . In a total of 94 games for various clubs, the striker scored 47 goals, in 2000/01 he was named the top scorer. This made the Danish club Viborg FF aware of him, for whom he scored 14 times in 2 years. In the newly founded A-League, he always established himself as a regular at his clubs. At the beginning of the 2009 AFC Champions League season , he moved to the Newcastle Jets .

International career

Petrovski has played twice in an international match so far. In 2001 he made his debut against Japan; in his second and so far last game in August 2006 against Kuwait he scored a goal.
