Sakura Satō ( Japanese 佐藤 さ く ら , Satō Sakura ; born March 17, 1992 ) is a Japanese ski jumper .

Career

Satō made her international debut in March 2007 on the Zaō hill in Yamagata as part of the Ski Jumping Continental Cup . She immediately won the 25th and 26th first Continental Cup points in both competitions, with which she finished 55th overall at the end of the season. In March 2008, shortly before her 16th birthday, she was able to draw attention to herself again as 11th and 12th at two FIS competitions in Sapporo and started a short time later in Yamagata again in the Continental Cup, where she was again in the points as 28th jumped and was able to win a total of three points, which brought her 71st place overall. Also in March 2009 she started twice in the Continental Cup on the Zaō-Schanze and achieved her best individual result in the first competition in 23rd place. She was also successful in the second competition and in the end reached 65th place in the overall Continental Cup ranking. It was her last Continental Cup start so far. Two FIS competitions in Sapporo shortly afterwards were her last international appearance. Since then she has only jumped at the national level.
