The Eberhardt group of companies , based in Engelsbrand and Kesselsdorf , is a medium-sized group of companies in the field of bus and coach business .
history
The bus company was founded in 1931 by the married couple Anna and Richard Eberhardt. Contrary to what was customary at the time, the excursions were not carried out on the loading platforms of trucks . For this purpose, Eberhardt-Reisen bought a station wagon from Chevrolet , which was a mixture of a truck and a bus. After the war-related break, regular service was resumed in 1945.
In 1950 the company expanded for the first time by founding a travel agency in Pforzheim. A year later, regular shuttle services to the Ötztal were set up.
The company founder withdrew from the management in 1975 and passed it on to his sons Herbert and Richard Eberhardt.
Two years later, Eberhardt took over the Graf-Cuno-Reisen company . The first branch was opened in Karlsruhe in 1985 and Hagro Transbus Reisen GmbH was taken over a few years later .
In 1990 Eberhardt-Reisen expanded into the new federal states and founded a subsidiary for transport to Belgrade . A year later, the Emil Frey / Otto Bär company in Pforzheim was taken over. The company was then expanded again in 1994 through an acquisition. The acquired company Seiz-Reisen GmbH in Vaihingen / Enz is continued as a brand to this day.

Local transport services in the Dresden area are provided under the name Satra Eberhardt .
The company, which was founded in the early 1990s, operated as Sachsentransporte Dresden GmbH until 2001 .
The company operates the city bus routes 91 and 93 in Dresden with its own concession and is thus integrated into the Upper Elbe transport association .
