Different representations and meanings

Representation in the coat of arms as a planet

Only a few coats of arms are known with the heraldic figure Saturn or Ringplanet and therefore the heraldic penetration is only sparse. The figure is hardly mentioned in the heraldic books. All heraldic colors are possible, but silver and gold are preferred. The representation in the coat of arms is simple: An oval ring (Saturn rings) surrounds the flat, circular disc (planet) at a distance. The moons are not shown, but should be mentioned in the description of the coat of arms in exceptional cases.

Depiction of an alchemical symbol as a coat of arms

The representation by an alchemical symbol is also rare in heraldry. Here in the example, the coat of arms is talking because the coat of arms figure means lead.

Representation of the alchemical symbol as a color

The symbol Saturn was used in the history of heraldry to mark a heraldic tinging . It stood for black instead of the hatching that is common today. The English Speelmann used this symbol around 1600.
