Saurauia madrensis is a species of plant from the large genus saurauia in the family of actinidiaceae (Actinidiaceae).
description
Saurauia madrensis grows as a tree and reaches heights of up to 13 meters. The bark is brown. The alternate leaves are divided into a petiole and a leaf blade. The simple leaf blade is elliptical to obovate with a length of 10 to 25 cm and a width of 4 to 11 cm.
The inflorescence has a length of 6 to 18, rarely up to 22 cm and a diameter of 4 to 8 cm wide and contains 36 to 60 individual flowers. The flowers are about 1.5 to 2.5 cm in size. The sepals are 5 to 6 mm long. The petals are 8 to 13 mm long and 5 to 9 mm wide. The 23 to 37 stamens have 3.4 to 4 mm long filaments and 2.2 to 3 mm long anthers. The ovary is hairless.
