The heather-like (Ericales) are an order of the flowering plants (Magnoliopsida).

description

There are trees and shrubs , half-shrubs and shrubs , sometimes small trees , which often occur on acid sites and sometimes xeromorph are built, but also vines and herbaceous plants . They often live symbiotically with mycorrhizal fungi (mycotrophic). The flowers are usually five-fold. The bloom cladding sheets are often fused ( sympetalie ).
