Hunting pavilion on the Sauschütt

The Grünwalder Sauschütt is a small exclave of the community Grünwald near Munich in the Grünwalder Forest . Most recently, the 1961 census recorded four residents in a residential building, but the 1970 and 1987 censuses no longer found any population. The area of the exclave is around 610 square meters, with only the hunting pavilion lying completely within the exclave.

The Sauschütt can be reached from the road from Grünwald to Straßlach . In the Sauschütt, the Grünwalder Sauschütt Forest Adventure Center, opened in 1995 by the Office for Food, Agriculture and Forests Ebersberg, has been set up with an adventure trail with 10 stations as well as a moor trail and an ant trail. The forest adventure center offers forest tours on weekends. The adventure center also includes a hunting pavilion built in 1863 under King Max II of Bavaria , which houses an exhibition on mammals, birds and mushrooms from the local forests. An insect house was built in 2004. In Wildschweingehege Wild feedings take place daily.

There is a support association (friends and supporters of Grünwalder Sauschütt eV). A little north of the Sauschütt is the Kletterwald München, a commercially operated rope course .
