Straßlach is a district of the community of Straßlach-Dingharting in the Upper Bavarian district of Munich .

geography

The Kirchdorf is a typical street village on the old Tölzer Straße between Munich and Bad Tölz, east of the Isar valley , about 4 kilometers south of Grünwald and 15 kilometers south of Munich.

history

The name is derived from the Roman road ( Straz ), which comes from Oberhaching and crosses the Isar on the Frundsberghöhe , and the forest ( Loh ) through which it ran.

The place is mentioned for the first time in 819. Most of it belonged to the Schäftlarn monastery until secularization .

In 1884 six farms and the Catholic parish church were destroyed by fire.

Until the regional reform , the formerly independent municipality of Straßlach belonged to the Wolfratshausen district . On May 1, 1978 Dingharting and Straßlach were merged to form the new community of Straßlach. In 1989 the municipality name was changed to Straßlach-Dingharting .
