Building

Entrance pavilion

The station designed by Adalbert Niklewicz was created in the form of a tunnel station . A distribution level connects the platforms with two simply designed entrances on both sides of Rue Sauvé. Due to the poorly thought out architectural planning, conditions are generally very cramped.

The platform level with two side platforms is at a depth of 15.9 meters . The distances to the neighboring stations, measured from station end to station start, are 1,279.60 meters to Crémazie and 771.60 meters to Henri-Bourassa . There are connections to six bus routes and two night bus routes operated by the Société de transport de Montréal .

history

The station opened on October 14, 1966, along with the Place-d'Armes -Henri-Bourassa section of the orange line. Sauvé is part of the basic network of the Montreal Metro. Name giver is the Rue Sauvé. Since 1912 it bears the name of a previous landowner on whose land the road was built. The station is currently being expanded: On the surface, a stop was created for the AMT suburban line to Repentigny and Mascouche , which was opened in December 2014.
