The Savick Brook is a watercourse in Lancashire , England . It arises on the western edge of Longridge and flows in a west or south-westerly direction. It reaches north of Preston and flows through the hamlet of Fulwood. On the northeastern edge of Haslam Park, it crosses the Lancaster Canal . In the northwest of the park, the Savick Brook is connected to the Lancaster Canal by locks. In the further course of the Savick Brook in a westerly or southwestern direction, this was expanded between 2000 and 2002 to the Ribble Link , which represents a connection of the once isolated Lancaster Canal to the other English canal network via the River Ribble .
