action

The documentary Saving Face follows London-based Pakistani plastic surgeon Dr. Mohammad Jawad, who is returning to his homeland to help victims of acid attacks. The film deals with the cases of two women, both disfigured by acid attacks, and their struggle for justice and healing. The Acid Survivors Foundation of Pakistan , which also appears in the film, documented 100 cases of acid attacks per year in Pakistan, whereby it is assumed that the number of unreported cases is far higher due to failure to report. Women are by far the largest proportion of victims.
