Sawantwadi (also Savantvadi or Sawantvadi ; Marathi : सावंतवाडी , Sāvantvāḍī ) is a place in the Sindhudurg district in the Indian state of Maharashtra with about 23,000 inhabitants.
Sawantwadi has a city council that represents the local citizen administration. Sawantwadi was once the capital of the princely state of Savantvadi .
