The Resisters are an Austrian band from Graz ( Styria ) that was active from 2008 to 2016 under the name Sawoff Shotgun .

history

The band was founded in 2008 by the three sisters Monica Reyes , Sonia Sawoff and Susana Sawoff under the name Sawoff Shotgun. In July 2009 their first album Never Mind the Botox Here Comes the Sawoff Shotgun was released , followed by their second album For Our Sanity in April 2011 . Her song Stereosexuality was used for the soundtrack of the film The Unintentional Abduction of Mrs. Elfriede Ott .

In 2009 and 2012 the band was nominated for the FM4 Award, which is presented as part of the Amadeus Austrian Music Award .

In addition to numerous concerts in Austria, Sawoff Shotgun also played in Germany, Slovenia, Croatia, Turkey and Egypt.

In 2016 the band changed their name to Resisters and released the third album of the same name.
