Sawrijan Alexejewitsch Danilow ( Russian Савриян Алексеевич Данилов ; English transcription Savriyan Alexeyevich Danilov , born June 3, 2000 in Moscow ) is a Russian tennis player .

Career

Danilow already played tennis on the ITF Junior Tour, where he once played in the main draw of a Grand Slam tournament in Wimbledon in 2018 , but was eliminated early in singles and doubles. His best placement among the juniors was 43rd place, which he reached in June 2018.

In the same year he also played his first tournaments with the professionals, all of them on the third-class ITF Future Tour . He reached the semi-finals twice, which was the first time he was able to place himself in the world rankings . In 2019, he made two more semi-finals before failing in the final, but then winning a future title for the first time in September. In his third participation in a tournament of the ATP Challenger Tour at the end of September in Nur-Sultan , Danilow was also able to move into the second round for the first time. He made his only appearance on the ATP Tour in October in his hometown of Moscow , where he received a wildcard for the doubles competition from the tournament officials . At the side of Roman Safiullin he was defeated by the pairing of Simone Bolelli and Andrés Molteni . In the world rankings , he is currently at his career high with rank 558. In doubles he was highest with 758th place in August.
