Saxofour is an Austrian saxophone ensemble that mainly plays experimental jazz and new improvisation music.

The musicians are Florian Bramböck , Klaus Dickbauer , Christian Maurer and Wolfgang Puschnig . The musicians switch between different saxophones and clarinets , Wolfgang Puschnig also plays the flute .

The ensemble was founded in 1991 on the occasion of the Austria Jazz Days Vöcklabruck and has since performed more than two hundred concerts across Europe. It also became known through the collaboration with the Portuguese singer Maria João .
