Sayumi Michishige (2010)

Sayumi Michishige ( Japanese 道 重 さ ゆ み , Michishige Sayumi ; born July 13, 1989 in Ube , Yamaguchi Prefecture ) is a Japanese singer , actress and model . She is a member of the J-Pop - girl group Morning Musume and entered this as a member of the sixth generation in 2003. Together with Eri Kamei and Reina Tanaka she won the "Love Audition 2002". In 2003 she made her official Morning Musume debut with "Shabondama". From 2005 to 2009 she was Koharu Kusumi's mentor.

Shortly after Sayumi joined Morning Musume, Morning Musume's producer Tsunku mentioned that her singing was weak, and Sayumi received intensive vocal training. However, she herself admitted that she was not a good singer. Therefore she built up a cute image and tried to cover up her weakness in singing. The phrase "Usa-chan Peace" has now become one of her trademarks, and she often refers to herself as the cutest member of Morning Musume. Since 2009 Sayumi has also been represented in various variety shows .

After Reina Tanaka left Morning Musume in 2012 , Sayumi took over the position of leader of Morning Musume and then said that in her new position she would like to thank the group and give back what they had given her over the years.

However, as she wrote on her blog in April 2014, since taking over the leadership position, she has been thinking about when it would be the right time for her to leave the band.

During her spring 2014 tour in Yamaguchi, she announced that she was doing Morning Musume and Hello! Project will be left at the end of the autumn tour in the same year.

On April 29, 2014, this was also announced in an official notice on the Hello Project website . In addition, at the start of her farewell tour, Michishige Sayumi announced on her official blog on that she would retire from the public for the time being after her departure in order to recover from her work after 12 years of continuous activity.
