Shepherd Heinrich (born December 4, 1966 ; actually Heinrich Gersmeier ) is a German farmer and pop singer . He became known as part of the fourth season of the docu-soap Bauer sucht Frau , which was broadcast on the evening program of the television station RTL in autumn 2008 .

Life

Gersmeier runs a 20 hectare farm with sheep in Völlinghausen (town of Erwitte ). The farm includes sheep, cows, ducks, geese and chickens. Since his father's death in 1998, Gersmeier has been running the farm together with his mother Johanna, who died at the end of 2011.

In the season of Bauer sucht Frau produced in 2008, Schäfer Heinrich was one of nine farmers willing to marry. The show's producers emphasized his preference for singing in order to create a profile. He sang old shepherd's songs repeatedly at village festivals. The record company EMI Music signed Schäfer Heinrich and produced with him the single shepherd song, which his father claims to have handed down . The shepherd's song entered the German single charts in early December 2008 and eventually reached number 5 in the charts. This was followed by numerous appearances in discotheques and in festival tents, and merchandising items such as breakfast boards and a Schäfer-Heinrich cream liqueur ( sheep's milk ) came out. In a farmer-seeking-woman Christmas special at Christmas 2009, Gersmeier tried again in vain to find a woman on television. His apartment in the courtyard was renovated in 2010 as part of a special broadcast by the program “ Use in four walls . Years later there was a legal dispute due to high tax claims for the renovation; Due to structural errors during the renovation, there was also damage in the five-figure range. In 2012 Gersmeier was an actor in the pseudo-documentary Mitten im Leben , which, among other things, was about finding a partner. Gersmeier took in 2013 on celebrity wife swapping part; his exchange partner was Micaela Schäfer .

On August 6, 2010, a CD-ROM with the title Schäfer Heinrichs Bauernhof-Simulator appeared on the market . The user can set up his own farms in the software. Gersmeier got into the media in 2013 when a large barn burned down in August, causing six-figure damage to property.
