It is located on the east side of Schönebecker Straße in the Buckau district of Magdeburg in the so-called Buckauer bottleneck . The building, which is also listed, borders on Schönebecker Strasse 115 to the south .
Architecture and history
The four-storey plastered building was built in 1888 in the neo-baroque style . It was built from bricks by the master mason A. Paul for the client, Agent Carl Seckel. The representatively designed building has a six-axis facade lavishly decorated with stucco . The outermost window axis on the left and right is wider than the others and emphasized by semi-columns in front.
The ground floor was later changed and is now simple.
In the local register of monuments , the residential and commercial building is recorded as a monument under registration number 094 17874 .
As part of the Wilhelminian style street, the building is considered significant in terms of urban development.
