Bless This House (Bless this House) is a British television series on which the movie of the same name is based.

content

The focus of the television series is Sid Abbot, who experiences the normal madness in the family, at work and with the neighbors. The son is work shy, the daughter is a real flower child and the in-laws come to visit every weekend. Plus the neighbors, the Trevor couple, with whom you are connected in a kind of love-hate relationship.

Remarks

The series developers of the ITV company Thames Television, Harry Driver and Vince Powell , implemented a new concept together with producer and director William G. Stewart : a half-hour comedy series from the life of the middle class. The idea became so successful that a total of 65 episodes were created in 6 seasons over the same number of years. This success was only put to an end in 1976 with the death of leading actor Sid James . Another sign of the success was that the film described above was made after the first season, which was even supervised by star director Gerald Thomas and carry-on ... producer Peter Rogers. Bandleader Geoff Love composed the title song of the series .

German publications often falsely claim that the film is a television film . However, there was probably only something mixed up with the movie cut from episodes of the television series.
